Jeremy Botter Joins Press Row

Every Wednesday, Administrative Editor Jordan Breen welcomes a member of the mixed martial arts media into “Press Row” on the Sherdog.com blog. This week, Breen is joined by Bleacher Report's Jeremy Botter.

Following the well-publicized ejection of judge Howard Hughes during the UFC's “Bisping vs. Le” card in Macau, Breen and Botter discuss Dana White's controversial decision and the future of the UFC's self-regulation. The two break down why White's decision to axe Hughes made no sense in the first place, how the presence of Marc Ratner would have likely resulted in a different outcome, Hughes' tarnished reputation and future as a judge, as well as how drug testing factors into the UFC's self-regulation.

Breen and Botter also investigate the curious cases of notable judges Sal D'Amato and Douglas Crosby, Marc Ratner's love of scarves and soccer, how and why Cecil Peoples became a regulatory scapegoat and offer reflections on the Michael Bisping-Matt Hamill fight.

Grab your credential and get a seat in “Press Row.”
