It was supposed to be the biggest, most difficult test of Stephen Thompson’s career.

It wound up looking like he had all the answers on a cheat sheet as former UFC welterweight champ Johny Hendricks couldn’t do anything. Thompson picked “Bigg Rigg” apart from the outside with his fancy kicks and when he found his rhythm, “Wonderboy” wasted no time in taking Hendricks out. A short right hand rocked Johny and once Hendricks stumbled into the cage after tasting a few punches and kicks. Thompson dropped the former champ with a left hook and finished him off with a volley of punches while Hendricks covered up along the cage.

The official time of the TKO came at 3:31 of the first, giving “Wonderboy” his greatest career win so far.
