Cannonier, who turns 41 in March, steps back into the fire on the heels of back-to-back defeats. The MMA Lab mainstay last saw action at UFC on ESPN 62, where he dropped a five-round unanimous decision to divisional upstart Caio Borralho on Aug. 24. Cannonier has delivered 10 of his 17 professional victories by knockout or technical knockout. Rodrigues, meanwhile, finds himself on a three-fight winning streak. The former Legacy Fighting Alliance champion last competed on July 27, when he outpointed Christian Leroy Duncan to a unanimous verdict at UFC 304. Rodrigues holds a 7-2 record across his nine appearances in the UFC.
