Unbeaten Titan Fighting Championship titlist Belal Muhammad will make his Octagon debut against Alan Jouban at UFC Fight Night “Dos Anjos vs. Alvarez” on July 7.

The UFC announced on Wednesday that Muhammad will replace the injured Nordine Taleb in the welterweight bout. UFC Fight Night takes place at MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas and is headlined by a lightweight championship tilt between Rafael dos Anjos and Eddie Alvarez. The card will stream in its entirety on UFC Fight Pass.

Taleb recently revealed via Instagram that a groin injury led to his withdrawal from the matchup with Jouban.

Muhammad is unbeaten in nine professional outings, with three wins via KO/TKO and six triumphs by decision. Most recently, “Remember the Name” defeated Steve Carl via fourth-round TKO at Titan FC 38 to capture the promotion’s vacant 170-pound strap. In addition to four victories with Titan FC, Muhammad also posted a pair of triumphs under the Bellator MMA banner.

Jouban is 4-2 in the UFC with knockout victories over the likes of Brendan O’Reilly, Richard Walsh and Seth Baczynski. The Black House product is 13-4 as a pro, with 10 of those wins coming inside the distance.
