Surging Ultimate Fighting Championship light heavyweight prospect Dominick Reyes gets a step up in competition as he takes on Ovince St. Preux at UFC 229 on Oct. 6, according to BJPenn.com.
Reyes (9-0) is already the No. 12 ranked light heavyweight in the UFC after just three fights with the promotion. The 28 year-old has finished all three UFC opponents in the first round, two by knockout and one by submission, with his last victory taking place in May against Jared Cannonier.
“OSP” himself is coming off of an impressive win by first-round straight armbar over Tyson Pedro in June.
UFC 229 is shaping up to be a blockbuster card, featuring a lightweight title fight between Khabib Nurmagomedov and Conor McGregor in the main event. Top-10 heavyweights Alexander Volkov and Derrick Lewis have also recently agreed verbally to fight on the card.
