Tyron Woodley, Jessica Andrade, Irene Aldana and Lucie Pudilova all received $50,000 bonuses for their work at UFC 228 in Dallas on Saturday night.
Woodley received a “Performance of the Night” award for his dominant title defense against Darren Till in the headliner. “The Chosen One” floored Till with a punch, battered his foe with ground-and-pound and then sealed the victory with a brabo choke at the 4:19 mark of round two.
Andrade, meanwhile, earned a “Performance of the Night” paycheck for her first-round blitz of Karolina Kowalkiewicz in the evening’s co-main event. The Brazilian swarmed her opponent from the outset before knocking Kowalkiewicz out cold with a massive right hook at the 1:58 mark of the opening frame.
Finally, Aldana and Pudilova shared “Fight of the Night” honors for their spirited preliminary bantamweight scrap. Both fighters had their moments in the three-round battle, but ultimately it was Aldana who emerged with a split-decision triumph.
