The Ultimate Fighting Championship's latest UFC Apex offering is headlined by a marquee heavyweight fight between Sergei Pavlovich and Curtis Blaydes. As expected, neither man had trouble coming in under the 266-pound limit, as "Razor" checked in at 262.5 pounds while the Russian weighed 260.5 pounds.

One undercard fighter officially missed weight: Priscila Cachoeira, who came in four pounds over the flyweight limit at 130 pounds. As a result, her fight against Karine Silva has been canceled. Additionally, William Gomis initially came in a pound over the featherweight limit at 147 pounds, and he returned to hit 146 and preserve his full purse against Francis Marshall.

This marks the first UFC main event for Pavlovich (17-1), who has quickly become a contender. After suffering his first career defeat to Alistair Overeem in 2018, the Russian has been on a tear, racking up five straight first-round knockouts inside the Octagon. His most recent appearances were the destructions of Tai Tuivasa and Derrick Lewis in under a minute each.

Meanwhile, Blaydes (17-3, 1 NC) has been a mainstay in the heavyweight division. This is the American's seventh UFC main event, with him coming out victorious in four of his previous six. "Razor" currently rides a three-fight win streak that includes Tom Aspinall, Chris Daukaus and Jairzinho Rozenstruik as his most recent victims.

UFC Fight Night 222 will stream in its entirety on ESPN+ on Saturday. Prelims begin at 4 p.m. ET/1 p.m. PT, while the main card kicks off at 7 p.m. ET/4 p.m. PT.
