Undefeated lightweight Gilbert Burns has signed a multi-fight deal with the Texas-based Legacy Fighting Championship and will debut with the promotion on March 21.

Legacy promoter Mick Maynard announced the Brazilian’s signing to Sherdog.com on Friday. Burns will make his promotional debut opposite Mike Budnik at LFC 29, which takes place at the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino Tulsa in Catoosa, Okla.

Burns, 27, has finished all six of his pro opponents inside the distance, submitting four of them and knocking out another two. “Durinho” last competed on Dec. 5, when he knocked out countryman Paulo Goncalves Silva under Brazil’s Coliseu Extreme Fight banner.

In Budnik, Burns faces a 17-fight pro who has not lost since 2010. The 39-year-old has been perfect in his last five outings but competed just once in each of the last three years, most recently earning a second-round stoppage over fellow Oklahoman Jesse Chaffin this past August.
