(PRESS RELEASE) -- Major urban entertainment and lifestyle
publication The Hype Magazine has officially partnered with
Coalition Fight Music to sponsor UK welterweight prospect Ben Craggy at
UCMMA 37 on November 30th in London, England.
The landmark partnership is the first of its kind, transcending both traditional and conventional branding strategies between the MMA and urban communities and each group's respective demographic.
"This is great news for the sport and the fighters we sponsor" says
CFM Executive Producer Tony Savo. "The Hype Magazine averages
millions of views, streams and downloads on a monthly basis and to
have them in our corner means we can pass that type of exposure on
to our fighters, media partners and various promotions."
Terms of the deal include The Hype Magazine promoting former reality TV show contestant turned pro MMA fighter Ben Craggy and his upcoming fight via their print, online and vast social media platforms.
Craggy who trains between Team Semtex in the United Kingdom and Xtreme Couture in Las Vegas is coming off a victory at UCMMA 32 earlier this year where he won via first round stoppage. He returns to the cage at UCMMA 37 where he will face talented striker Nathan Jones.
When asked about the new deal Craggy responded "I'm honoured to have a major magazine like Hype supporting me in my fight. I plan on making the most of this opportunity by putting on an amazing show and entertaining the fans."
Former Cage Rage promotion Ultimate Challenge or "UCMMA" as it is more commonly known, is Europe's most consistent fight league and has produced many well known fighters who have gone on to achieve success in both Bellator and the UFC. Most notably, former UCMMA light heavyweight champion Jimi "Poster Boy" Manuwa who's scheduled to meet Alexander Gustafsson at the UFC's European Tour Show on March 8th at London's O2 Arena.
The Hype Magazine is based out of Indianapolis, Indiana and is widely regarded as the world's number one digital magazine. Covering everything from hip-hop to Hollywood, the publication will be adding MMA news and interviews to its growing list of content. Recently celebrating its 11th year anniversary, the magazine added quarterly print issues to its popular monthly digital version and debuts on newsstands across the country later this month, November 26th.
Coalition Fight Music is the first and only music group to sponsor high profile celebrity athletes in the UFC, Bellator, XFC and UCMMA. The band also develops signature walkout tracks and custom merchandise for fighters interested in creating additional revenue streams and monetizing their personal brand. Fighters CFM has sponsored in the past include Nick and Nate Diaz, Jake Shields and former UFC lightweight champion Jens Pulver.
