Beatdown: Makdessi, Burkman, Nam

TJ De Santis and Jeff Sherwood returned to the Sherdog Radio Network for another edition of "Beatdown." Joining them on Monday's broadcast was UFC 158 competitor John Makdessi, Josh Burkman, and Tyson Nam.

John Makdessi joined the show to talk about his UFC 158 bout with Daron Cruickshank Saturday night in Montreal. The Tristar product chats about fighting in his homeland, facing a dynamic striker like in Cruickshank, and what life has been like getting ready in the same gym as welterweight champion Georges St, Pierre.

Josh Burkman returns to action March 23rd on the WSOF 2 card in Atlantic City. "The People's Warrior" joined TJ and Jeff to talk about his long road in mixed martial arts over the last ten years. "The Ultimate Fighter 2" alumnus recounts how he got to where he is today, his decision to sign with World Series of Fighting, and what he makes of his opponent Aaron Simpson. Josh also shares his thoughts on testosterone replacement therapy.

Also competing on the WSOF 2 card is Tyson Nam. Sherdog.com's eighth ranked bantamweight faces Marlon Moraes at The Revel in Atlantic City. This is the first fight back for Nam after upsetting Bellator bantamweight champion Eduardo Dantas last August in Brazil. Nam chats about the fallout from that fight, including the legal battle with Bellator MMA over a contract he thought he had been released from. Nam looks ahead to the future and what he feels will play out for him in World Series of Fighting.
