Raufeon Stots Takes Aim at ‘Coward’ Danny Sabatello

Bellator MMA interim bantamweight champion Raufeon Stots aims to teach his next opponent a lesson.

In the upcoming Bellator 289 headliner, Stots (18-1, 6-0 Bellator) will lock horns with Danny Sabatello in a heated clash which will also serve as a semifinal of the $1 million 135-pound grand prix. In addition to securing a place in the finals, “Supa” is looking forward to notching the first defense of the interim championship he won after knocking out former divisional kingpin Juan Archuleta at Bellator 279. Initially, Stots should have faced his former teammate and current linear champion Sergio Pettis, but an injury prevented that bout from going down. Now, all Stots wants is to get his hands on Sabatello, as there is some animosity between the two.

“I don't like him and he [doesn’t] like me. It's perfect that we're fighting. I think he sucks as a fighter. I think he probably would say the same about me, and I don't like the way he goes about, talking about people, how he carries himself, how he performs as a fighter. I just don't like any of those things. I think he's a coward. I think he's a b----. I think he carries his way or he carries himself in a way to where it's easy to not like him. I don't know if you call it bad blood, I just don't like him.”
