The Ultimate Fighting Championship is a mixed martial arts promotion in which a series of fights take place around the world. There are few amazing legends that are recognized in the UFC Hall of the Fame. I could just give you a list of their names, but these hardworking legends deserve more. This article is going to be about getting to know Mark Coleman, Randy Couture and Pat Miletich. If you have no interest in diving into the lives and past of these legends, then read no further.

Mark Coleman: More commonly known as “The Hammer,” Coleman is a retired mixed martial artist, professional wrestler, former NCAA wrester and former Olympic wrestler. He was the first UFC heavyweight champion and the 2000 Pride Fighting Championships open weight grand prix winner. This hall of famer was born in Fremont, Ohio, began freestyle wrestling as a teenager and wrestled for Miami University and Ohio State University. Following his amateur career, Coleman switched over to the sport of mixed martial arts, where he won a plethora of awards and took the world by storm. After years of partaking in mixed martial arts, he retired at age 48. He was later inducted into the UFC Hall of Fame, becoming the fifth inductee. Coleman has two daughters and made an appearance in the documentary, “The Smashing Machine: The Life and Times of Mark Kerr.”

Randy Couture: Being a mixed martial artist was not enough for Couture, as he also took on being an American actor, former United States Army Sergeant and former collegiate and Greco-Roman wrestler. During his time in the UFC, Couture became a three-time UFC heavyweight champion and two-time UFC light heavyweight champion. Couture is one of four men that have held UFC titles in two different divisions. After an amazing career in the UFC, Couture took on acting. He has made appearances in movies and television shows such as “Redbelt,” “The Unit,” “Hawaii Five-O” and “Dancing with the Stars.”

Pat Miletich: Milteich is another American mixed martial artist that ventured into different fields of work. He is currently a sport commentator and is known for his fights in the Ultimate Fighting Championship, where he became the first welterweight champion and won the UFC 16 welterweight tournament. Miletich is the youngest of five children and was born in Davenport, Iowa. He wrestled and played football in high school. For over 15 years, Miletich trained local, state and federal law enforcement officers and military groups from all service branches. He has designed a plethora of defensive tactics and combatives courses for combatives companies. He is married with three kids and began his commentating career in 2009.
