The Walkmen: UFC 238 Walkout Tracks

The ordering process for Ultimate Fighting Championship pay-per-views has changed: UFC 238 is only available on ESPN+ in the U.S.

The Ultimate Fighting Championship returned to the Windy City on Saturday with a double-dose of championship bouts. The United Center was the site of UFC 238 and it was anchored by Henry Cejudo taking on Marlon Moraes for the promotion’s vacant bantamweight title. Valentina Shevchenko put her flyweight strap on the line against Jessica Eye in the co-feature and the four combatants chose vastly different walkout music.

Cejudo tried winning a title in a second weight class and the tunes of “The Show Goes On” by Lupe Fiasco was his choice of music while Brazil’s Moraes opted to go with Andrezinho Shock’s “A Vida E Tipo Roda Gigante.” Shevchenko put her title on the line for the first time and went with her usual Traditional Eastern European Folk Dance music while “Evil” Eye chose the wildly popular (30 years ago) “Here I Go Again ‘87” from Whitesnake.

Other standout tracks of the night were Tom Petty’s “Won’t Back Down” (Calvin Kattar); Naughty By Nature’s “Uptown Anthem” (Bevon Lewis); Michael Sembello’s iconic “Maniac (Flash Dance Soundtrack)” (Joanne Calderwood) and Angela Hill stole the night by using Misfits’ “Skulls” again.
