The heavyweights came out swinging early in Singapore as Ciryl Gane took on Don’Tale Mayes. Gane hurt Mayes late in the first round with a body shot, nearly finishing the bout on the ground, but Mayes was able to survive. In the third round, Gane again hurt Mayes badly. He was able to lock up a heel hook that was deep enough to force Mayes to tap out. It goes down as the latest submission win in Ultimate Fighting Championship heavyweight history.
